How can a kid who woke up coughing several times last night -- and woke his mother up, too, of course -- have more energy than a whirling dervish come morning? Because said mother feels a lot like she's been run over by a truck.
Hey, I know that script! Eric's been coughing for the last 4 days, and only one of those nights did he sleep at all normally. Last night he woke up almost every half hour, needing me... and yet, this morning, he was bright-eyed and bushy tailed. Me, not so much! Bah.
