Re the cats, the only thing I do that Jaffa is even remotely interested in, is making quilts. When I was binding the first quilt last year she and the dog kept on trying to snuggle into/on/under it while I was stitching.
I feel like I'm in some kind of quilting bee getting excited about your quilt progress.
Only seven more to go ... and then I can start piecing the quilt!
